Revision Schedule Calculator
Turn a topic count and exam timeline into a simple revision pace while reserving buffer days for catch-up or final review.
Privacy: calculator inputs are processed in your browser; Lynara does not need to upload these values to calculate the result.
Formula
topics per day = topics ÷ usable revision days; minutes per topic = total planned revision minutes ÷ topics
Redistribute the average when one topic needs extra work
- 24 topics across 6 usable days gives 4 topics per day. At 120 minutes daily, the overall budget is 720 minutes, averaging 30 minutes per topic.
- If a difficult topic needs 60 minutes, the extra 30 minutes must come from another topic, another day or a larger total budget.
What the result tells you
The schedule exposes the available time rather than judging difficulty. Practice errors can help decide where the time should move.
Before you use the result
Keep buffer days separate and include retrieval checks. Scheduling or rereading a topic is not proof that it has been learned.
Useful for
- Exam revision planning
- Topic pacing before a deadline
- Allocating study minutes across topics
Questions
What are buffer days?
Days intentionally left outside the normal topic schedule for catch-up, rest, mock exams or final review.
Do all topics get the same time?
No. The calculated minutes per topic is an average; harder topics can take more and familiar topics less.
