Lynara separates deterministic calculations and citation formatting from AI-generated study material, and documents the authority used for each ruleset.
Calculation sources
Percentages, weighted averages and credit-weighted GPA calculations use standard mathematical formulas. Letter-grade cutoffs are presented only as a common reference because institutions differ.
Citation style authorities
Citation output is produced by deterministic TypeScript formatters rather than by an LLM. Imported metadata is always editable because DOI deposits and source records can be incomplete. The final reference should still be checked against the original source and any instructor, department or journal requirements.

- APA 7: APA Style — Reference Examples. Lynara uses DOI URLs and the APA 7 author-list rules.
- Harvard · Cite Them Right-style: University of Sheffield — Harvard referencing guide. Sheffield states that its guide is based on Cite Them Right and that students should check the style required by their programme; Lynara labels this as a variant rather than a universal Harvard standard.
- Turabian 9: Turabian Citation Quick Guide, including the official Notes & Bibliography samples and Author-Date samples. The ninth edition is aligned with Chicago 17, so Lynara keeps it separate from Chicago 18.
- Chicago 18: The Chicago Manual of Style — Citation Quick Guide, supporting both Notes & Bibliography bibliography entries and Author-Date reference entries.
- AMA 11: JAMA — Instructions for Authors: References, with PubMed/NLM journal abbreviations where available.
- Vancouver / NLM: ICMJE Recommendations — References and NLM Citing Medicine. ICMJE recommends numbering references by first mention and using MEDLINE/NLM journal abbreviations.

Standardized-test scoring references
The SAT score tools follow College Board's published 200–800 section and 400–1600 total score ranges. Raw-score practice estimates are explicitly tied to the official 2026 SAT Practice Test #11 scoring guide rather than presented as a universal live-test conversion.
