How to Cite Sources in ASA 7
ASA 7 reference entries are organized around author, year, title and source information and are typically paired with author-year in-text citations.
Method
- List authors in the order shown on the source.
- Place the publication year immediately after the author information.
- Add title and publication details for the source type.
- Review the final entry against the ASA 7 guide and local requirements.
Worked example

Book pattern: Author. Year. Book title. Publisher.
