Use the weighting policy your school actually applies
Weighted GPA depends on institutional rules rather than one universal bonus. Some schools add a fixed point for selected advanced courses, some use different values for honors and AP or IB classes, and some cap the scale. Enter the weights that match the transcript policy instead of assuming every advanced course receives the same adjustment.
Course credits still matter when classes carry different credit values. A one-credit course should not automatically affect the result as much as a multi-credit course. For an official GPA, compare the modeled result with the school’s published calculation rules.

Formula
weighted GPA = Σ((grade points + extra weight) × credits) ÷ Σ(credits)
Example
A 4.0 course with +1.0 extra weight contributes 5.0 grade points before credit weighting.
