Degree Progress Calculator
Turn earned and required credits into a simple completion percentage without assuming any institution-specific graduation rules.
Privacy: calculator inputs are processed in your browser; Lynara does not need to upload these values to calculate the result.
Formula
degree progress = earned credits ÷ required credits × 100; remaining credits = required − earned
Credit completion cannot identify an unmet capstone
- 90 accepted credits toward a 120-credit program equals 75% completion by credit count.
- The remaining gap is 30 credits. Two 15-credit terms close that numerical gap only if the courses satisfy the remaining program requirements.
What the result tells you
This percentage summarizes credits, not the proportion of every degree requirement that has been completed.
Before you use the result
Use the official degree audit for prerequisites, required courses, residency rules and transfer-credit acceptance. An elective is not automatically interchangeable with a required course.
Useful for
- Degree credit progress
- Certificate completion tracking
- Estimating credits remaining
Questions
Does 100% of required credits mean I can graduate?
Not necessarily. Programs can also require specific courses, GPA thresholds, residency credits or other conditions.
Can earned credits exceed the required total?
Yes. The calculator can show more than 100% credit completion, but excess credits do not replace missing required coursework.
